The Plymouth Board of Works has approved the purchase of pickup trucks for the city’s Water and Wastewater departments.
Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson told the board that Country Auto Center submitted the lowest bid for the Water Department’s half-ton pickup, for a total cost of $29,833. The quote for the Wastewater Department’s half-ton pickup was awarded to Oliver Ford, for $27,323. The Board of Works voted to ratify the award of the quotes, unanimously.
Additionally, Plymouth will start enforcing parking bans on a couple of city streets. Board members approved the installation of “No Parking” signs on Harrison Street, from Michigan Street halfway to Center Street, in an effort to ease traffic. Parking will also be prohibited on Pierce Street, between Michigan Street and the Yellow River bridge, due to space limitations.
