Police Investigating Cause of Single Vehicle Fatality

fatal-accidentThe cause of a single-vehicle crash in rural Marshall County that claimed a Bremen woman’s life is still under investigation. It happened just before 10:30 yesterday morning on 9B Road just east of Gumwood Road, according to Indiana State Police.

Troopers found a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis upside down in a water filled ditch. The driver, 57-year-old Carolyn L. Dill of Bremen was seatbelted in the car deceased.

Investigators say her car was traveling east, left the north side of 9B Road and went down an earth embankment before flipping over onto its roof and coming to rest in a ditch. Nothing at the crash site indicates why Dill left the roadway. Her cause of death is also under investigation.
