Three Plymouth High School robotics teams competed on the national level earlier this month. Teams 586A, 586B, and 586G all took part in the U.S. Open Robotics Championship held in Council Bluffs, Iowa from April 7 through April 9.

The B team saw success during qualifying matches with a 7 and 2 record, putting them in 16th place. The A team, meanwhile, came in 24th place after qualifying, with a record of 6 and 4. That was good enough for both teams to move on in the competition, but both ended their runs in the competition’s quarterfinals.

The G team, however, only achieved a 1 and 9 record during qualifying. That put them in 79th place.

The robotics season continues, though, for Plymouth’s A team. They’ll be facing some of the world’s top teams at the VEX Robotics World Tournament being held tomorrow through Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky.
