The Plymouth Common Council will meet in special session this evening to consider some additional appropriations, following a public hearing. The resolutions under consideration involve the city’s General Fund, as well as its Cumulative Capital Improvement and Cumulative Capital Development Funds.
Also during tonight’s meeting, the council is expected to formally weigh in on funding options for Marshall County roads. The county has been looking into adding a Local Option Highway User Tax (LOHUT) or a County Economic Development Income Tax (CEDIT) for additional road funding. The county commissioners have been asking for input from local communities on the issue.
Tonight’s Plymouth Common Council meeting starts at 6 p.m.
