A Sunday afternoon traffic stop by a Plymouth Police officer on U.S. 30 near Oak Drive led to the arrests of five Fort Wayne residents on counterfeiting charges. The officer reportedly found numerous counterfeit $100 bills in the vehicle, including uncut copied bills and a printer, according to a news release.
The driver, Raynesha Causey, also faces a charge of operating with a controlled substance. Another suspect, Jalaysha Mccaleb, reportedly provided false information at the Plymouth Police Department and tried to help Terrell Smith use a false identity. They’re charged with assisting a criminal and false informing, respectively, in addition to the counterfeiting charge. Tristan Lacy and Drake Wells are also charged with counterfeiting. Bond for all five defendants was set at $5,000 cash each. A juvenile occupant of the car was placed in a detention center.
