The Culver Town Council will consider a proposal to repeal the existence of its Park Board at its meeting on Tuesday night.
The measure was proposed several weeks ago after it was determined there were myriad issues over an extended period. Efficiently operating the park is among the chief concerns of the Town Council – which is proposing putting operations under their control.
This is similar to the Town Council’s recent maneuver to eliminate the Culver EMS Board, and run the department through them as well. Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist has said in the past that finding an adequate number of volunteers for the board, and ensuring quality operations, are among the biggest drivers of the repeal ordinance.
Tonight’s Culver Town Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. EST at Culver Town Hall.
