Ancilla College will be holding its second annual Day of Giving on Friday, April 29. College officials hope to get a total goal of 200 donors to take part in this year’s event by donating online, and they’re challenging each of those donors to give $24. Development and alumni relations manager Emily Hutsell says this level of donations can change the lives of students at Ancilla, where 90 percent of students receive some sort of financial assistance.
During the 24-hour period, the college will be reaching out to the public on social media using the hashtag #jointhecharge. During the course of the day, Ancilla will also be offering incentives if various goals are reached. These include matching donations, hourly drawings, faculty getting dunked, and Ancilla College President Ken Zirkle kissing a cow. Additionally, Tony Ross will be broadcasting from the Ancilla campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on MAX 98.3.
