A project completed last year in Marshall County has received a bit of statewide recognition.
The Indiana Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association hosted its annual awards ceremony on March 23rd in Indianapolis. Eight projects, spanning a range of categories such as county, state, and urban projects were recognized for their work in infrastructure improvement and construction.
Marshall County was included in the list under the “Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards” County Projects category as the lone submission. The county, in conjunction with the Indiana Department of Transportation completed the Veterans Parkway project in October of 2015.
Patrick Long, Director of Marketing and Government Affairs for the Indiana ACPA, says the state organization recognizes several of its projects before submitting potential candidates into a national awards ceremony. Those evaluations will be completed in the future.
