A Marshall, Mich. man who admitted selling drugs to a member of the Marshall County Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team is headed to prison.
Zachary Oiler, 26, was sentenced Thursday in Marshall Superior Court I to 12 years in the Department of Correction for dealing Suboxone. It’s a Schedule III controlled substance. It’s a narcotic drug used to treat opiate addiction. It’s given to addicts to block the effects of opioid drugs like heroin.
Oiler admitted in open court to selling pills in June of 2014. Marshall County Prosecuting Attorney Nelson Chipman praised says the Marshall County Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team continues to diligently work to reveal and investigate drug dealing in our county.
“Drug dealing is a blight and a drain on the community,” Chipman said in a statement. “It must be prosecuted accordingly.”
