A group of volunteers in Culver is planning to make children’s lives a little better by making blankets. It’s part of Project Linus, which uses handmade blankets to provide a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Organizers are asking for donations of new, washable, handmade blankets of all sizes, as well as yarn, fabrics, and monetary donations. Most importantly, they’re looking for volunteers for their National Make a Blanket Day event in Culver on February 20.
