A single-vehicle crash claims a life. It happened around 8:30 last night at the intersection of U.S. 6 and Quince Road in Marshall County.
Investigators with the Marshall County Police Department say a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Christina Moren of Walkerton was westbound on 6, went off the south side of the road and struck two trees and a fence. The vehicle caught fire and was fully engulfed when emergency responders arrived. Moren was unable to get out. The crash is still under investigation. The Polk Township Volunteer Fire Department and Walkerton and LaPaz EMS all assisted with the response.
