The Plymouth School Board will be taking another step towards renovating a few facilities in the school corporation.
Board members have previously approved bids to construct a new grandstand at the Plymouth High School football field. Bonding for the project needs a few tweaks as the board continues to alter its bonding policy to meet the criteria.
Work remains, however, as the school board will consider bids for construction work to the ticket booths, concessions, and restrooms at the athletic facility. In addition, bids will also be considered for adding space to the administration building. The project is expected to cost in the millions of dollars, but significant cost savings have been seen already due to the low cost of construction materials.
School board members are also anticipated to consider a new curriculum approach to sex and drug education. The proposal includes allotting 10 days in the school calendar as part of the curriculum approach at Lincoln Junior High.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Plymouth Schools Administration Building.
