Only a few days remain for candidates interested in running for elected office to file the proper paperwork to do so.
In Marshall County, the candidate list has grown significantly since filing began earlier this month. Among the races which have garnered some interest are the available at-large seats on the Marshall County Council.
Several names have already been submitted, including a couple of incumbents for the office. Now, a name familiar to Marshall County government has also decided to run for the seat. Treasurer Penny Lukenbill has filed to seek an at-large seat.
Lukenbill’s term in the Treasurer’s post ends at the end of 2016.
Sam Schlosser has filed as a Republican to seek a state convention delegate seat. Mark Thompson has decided to run as a precinct committeeman on the Republican ticket as well.
