The Plymouth School Board will consider extending administrator contracts during their meeting, tonight.
Superintendent Dan Tyree has made the recommendation that nearly all principals and administrative offices staff see their terms extended by a period of one year. Administrator contracts are not required to be renewed by the school corporation, but the extension acts as a way to ensure continuity.
The school board will also consider changes to their insurance bonding policy. Those handling, or managing, the corporation’s finances are required under state law to protect themselves against potential mistakes or mishandling of the finances.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Plymouth Schools Administration Building.
