A Plymouth resident has decided to seek office in Indiana’s 17th House District.
Michelle Livinghouse made the announcement on Friday in Indianapolis that she would be vying for the Democratic nomination for the seat. Indiana’s 17th encompasses Marshall and sections of Fulton Counties.
Livinghouse is no stranger to politics in Marshall County. She has previously served on the Plymouth Common Council and a couple of different commission boards. More recently, Livinghouse says she serves on the Marshall County Board of Health.
According to a statement from her campaign, Livinghouse says she hopes to make Indiana’s bicentennial year a special one, focusing on roads and infrastructure, and repairing the Hoosier state’s image with the business community following nationwide attention following the passage of RIFRA.
