Two robotics teams from Plymouth High School will soon be competing on the state and national levels. Plymouth’s 586A and 586B robotics teams both received tournament championship trophies at Saturday’s Jay County Border Wars Nothing But Net Competition in Portland, Indiana.
The 568A team also won the Sportsmanship Award, while 586B earned the Design Award. Six Plymouth High School teams were among the 35 from across the state that competed. All the Plymouth teams in the competition advanced through the qualifying rounds, with 586C, 586E, and 586H making it to the quarterfinal rounds and 586G going to the semifinals.
The A and B teams now move onto the State Championship tournament held in March and the U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Council Bluffs, Iowa in April.
