A local non-profit organization is hoping to attract applicants for several grants to be awarded this year.
The application period that ends on February 1st is the first of two grant rounds in 2016 for the Marshall County Community Foundation. Funds are allocated out of what is referred to as the group’s “Community Fund.” Those monies are used to help local non-profit organizations.
According to a press release from the Community Foundation, the grants are awarded to help pay for specific projects and programs that aid the arts, education, health and human services, and the environment.
In addition to the “Community Fund” grants, the MCCF is also accepting proposals for the Ralph Vonnegut, Jr. Fund.
The organization says proposals that target educational needs remains important, but each of the proposals will be evaluated on their merits.
Applications are available online.
