Driver Not Injured When Semi Jackknifes

accidentSlick roads are to blame for a single-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer that happened last night, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. They were dispatched to the area of U.S. 30 and Gumwood Road around 9:30 p.m., along with Bourbon EMS and Fire.

The crash report indicates 72-year-old Tony R. Miller of Middlebury lost control of his eastbound truck and trailer due to the icy weather conditions. The truck went off the south side of the highway into a cornfield and jackknifed.

Miller was not hurt, but his truck and trailer both sustained heavy front end damage.
