The Culver Town Council will be sitting new board members at their meeting this evening, and they may already have a say in raising fees.
An ordinance will come to third reading that regulates the use of golf carts within Culver’s Town limits. The ordinance is designed to raise fees for registering the golf cart vehicles. They’re often used during the warmer months as a way to travel the town.
The fees would increase sufficiently to pay for their administration and tracking. The idea may eventually lead to the Culver Visitor’s Center managing the registration.
At the previous Culver Town Council meeting, some members of the public expressed concerns about the level of the fee increases. The matter has been approved on first and second reading, but will now go to a final reading.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Culver Town Hall.
