The Marshall County Commissioners will be following-up on a few items given the go ahead by the County Council.
Marshall County Treasurer Penny Lukenbill plans to present a contract with Manatron-Thomson-Reuters that would outsource the production of property tax bills in Marshall County. By using a private company to prepare the statements, Lukenbill believes the statements can be sent out in a timelier manner without putting an exhaustive strain on county resources.
The Marshall County Council already gave their approval to move forward with the process. The Commissioners will be considering the contract itself.
According to Tuesday morning’s agenda, Marshall County Clerk Debbie Vandemark plans to continue a discussion on vote centers within the county. The idea is to have the model in place at some point this year.
Tuesday morning’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
