An Ancilla College coach is working to give clean drinking water to the people of Flint, Michigan, after a switch of the city’s water supply caused a spike in lead poisoning.
Golf Coach Marc Green is taking nearly 200 cases of bottled water to Mott Community College in Flint, one of Ancilla’s competitors in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association. It will then be distributed to students and their families.
Green says it’s an opportunity to carry out The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ’s mission of service. It’s also a chance for students to experience firsthand the importance of helping others.
