The 2016 Marshall County Blueberry Festival will have a nostalgic theme to coincide with Indiana’s bicentennial celebration.
It’s also the 50th year of the Blueberry Festival. The inaugural picnic in the park that grew into the Labor Day weekend-encompassing festival took place in 1966 in conjunction with Indiana’s Sesquicentennial. Given that history, the committee tasked with putting the festival on chose the theme “A Picnic in the Park” for this year’s celebration. It will take place Sept. 2-5, 2016 in Plymouth’s Centennial Park.
The festival is recognized as one of the premier events in the Midwest and has been named a Top 100 Event in North America by the American Bus Association multiple times.
