Plymouth Students Raise Money for United Way of Marshall County

Several classes took part in penny wars competitions to raise money for United Way of Marshall County, while others worked at their school store to support the local nonprofit organization.

Students from Menominee and Webster Elementary Schools and Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth raised a combined donation of $876.98 for United Way.

Webster Elementary School first graders Haleigh Oliverez, Arian Day, Linda Yoder, Emalyn Yazel, Susan Wagner, Brock Shortt and David Deacon raised the most money in Penny Wars.

Executive Director Linda Yoder and 2015 United Way Campaign Co-Chair Susan Wagner accepted the checks and congratulated and thanked the students for “their wonderful giving spirit.”

United Way of Marshall County provides financial support to 24 local agencies, who in turn offer education, health and financial stability programs.
