A Plymouth man’s recent erratic driving landed him in jail.
Kenneth Murphy, 61, was eastbound on Hillcrest Avenue heading towards Oak Drive around 10:30 last Wednesday night when he left the roadway and drove through the side of the garage at 216 Oak Street. Murphy also struck a truck parked in the driveway, according to the incident report. He then continued eastbound onto Lake Avenue, where he hit a parked vehicle near the intersection of 7th and Lake.
Murphy was taken to Plymouth hospital for treatment and a certified chemical test. Plymouth Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Murphy was initially arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Additional charges are pending the test results.
