A Plymouth man is facing charges after he was allegedly found with stolen property.
Plymouth Police were patrolling the area of Baker and Michigan Roads on Tuesday evening when they stopped a moped for driving without working lights. Mopeds are typically described as smaller motorcycles and often carry different licensing requirements.
The stop was made around 7:40 p.m. according to a report of the incident.
18-year-old Cashmere Witt was operating the vehicle, but an investigation by officers led to the discovery that the moped was reported stolen out of South Bend. Witt was taken into custody as a result.
A search of Witt’s person allegedly produced less than 30 grams of cannabis. Witt was booked at the Marshall County Jail.
He is facing charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Cannabis in the case.
