A Plymouth industry is one step closer to getting a tax abatement from the city. The Plymouth Common Council Monday unanimously passed a resolution creating an Economic Revitalization Area for the WestRock factory.
The plant manufactures packaging products for fast food businesses. WestRock General Manager Jim Janice says the company’s Plymouth operation has grown from 30 to 100 employees over the past eight years and there’s currently no room for further growth. He says the company’s making a $5.2 million investment in new equipment, which will allow the space to be used more efficiently.
