The Marshall County Commissioners will receive an update on contract talks between the County and Century link.
Earlier this month, officials with the Sheriff’s Department presented contract language for consideration. Marshall County is working to provide upgrades to its E911 services. The changes allow them to access a callers’ location if they’re calling for a mobile device.
By implementing the changes, Marshall County can pay their service provider, Centurylink, about $2-thosuand less per month.
While the Marshall County Commissioners gave Commission President Kevin Overmeyer the authority to sign the contract, additional work may be needed. County Attorney Jim Clevenger has made several recommendations for changes to the contract.
Additional details will be provided during this morning’s Marshall County Commissioners meeting which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
