The Marshall County Election Board will be working to certify the results of November’s General Municipal Election at a meeting this afternoon.
Election Board members are allowed 10 days under Indiana Code to finalize the ballot count. Board members are ensuring the accuracy of the count, but this year will also be attempting to discern if a tie actually took place in the Town of Argos.
Two candidates received the same percentage of votes once ballots had been cast for an open Town Council seat. Should the tie be found in place once the results have been certified, the Town of Argos would be responsible for taking the next steps.
The Marshall County Election Board will meet at 1:00 p.m. in the Marshall County Clerk’s office.
