The Culver Town Council will be bringing back an issue that stirred controversy two weeks ago.
An ordinance revising the Town’s construction permit fees is slated to be considered once again. Residents attending the previous Culver Town Council meeting expressed their dissatisfaction with the ordinance – which attempts to use a valuation model in addition to square footage additions to determine the cost of a commercial and residential construction project.
The matter was tabled at the previous Culver Town Council meeting once a largely negative review was seen. Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist says the Town Council has been advised by their legal counsel to give the ordinance an up-or-down vote and send the issue back through committee if there are possible improvements.
The Town Council will also receive an update on the construction of Culver’s new water tower from Midwest Engineers.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Culver Town Hall.
