The Town of Bremen will consider whether to appoint a new police chief during their Town Council meeting, today.
The position became available following the resignation of former Police Chief Matt Hassel. He was elected Marshall County Sheriff at the end of September.
Bremen has since appointed Keith Fraine as interim police chief. He previously served as assistant police chief under Hassel. The Town has been searching for weeks to find a permanent replacement. A recommendation has now been made by the Town’s committee managing police affairs. That recommendation heads to the Bremen Town Council, tonight.
Council members will take the committee’s findings that Sergeant Brad Kile should take over as police chief under advisement. According to administration within the Town, the Bremen Town Council may also decide to finalize the hire.
