
A Friday night traffic stop for a moving violation on U.S. 30 near Rose Road resulted in the arrest of the driver on drug charges.
The Marshall County Police Officer who pulled 34-year-old April Hogle of Whiting over believed she was under the influence of drugs, according to a news release. According to the officer, she was found to be in possession of a substance thought to be heroin and tried to hide paraphernalia, including syringes, with a child passenger.
Hogle failed a certified drug test at St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth and was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior charge, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Authorities transferred her children to the care of their father.
