The recently upgraded runway at Plymouth Municipal Airport is ready for business. City officials  last night cut the ceremonial ribbon to dedicate the project.

Mayor Mark Senter says a $2.5 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration combined with some state and local matching money made the widening of the runway possible. He says improvements are being done in phases as resources allow. First all of the buildings were fixed up, then the runway was widened. Next Senter hopes to add a radar system and lengthen the runway.
