Plymouth Police attempted to serve a warrant on Wednesday, but found themselves filing additional charges.
Officers responded to the 900 block of West LaPorte Street in Plymouth around 1:36 p.m. to serve 30-year-old Brandon Adkins on a Marshall County warrant. According to information provided by police, Adkins spotted officers and began running out the back of the residence.
Police apprehended Adkins after they say he gave himself up. A search of Adkins’ truck and the residence itself was conducted. Investigators claim drug paraphernalia was located inside the truck.
Adkins was transported to the Marshall County Jail. A search of his person revealed a controlled substance and more paraphernalia. The nature of the drugs was not disclosed.
Adkins is being charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Syringe.
