A Marshall County murder defendant is now lodged in the Kosciusko County Jail. Fabian Roman Rubio, 20, of Bremen, is charged in last December’s murder of 15-year-old Desi Jones. They were neighbors in Lake of the Woods, according to investigators. A man walking his dog found her body just off of 5th Road. Charges against Rubio were filed in May.
Officials with the Marshall County Jail say he was moved to Kosciusko County in what they describe as an “inmate swap.” They housed a prisoner for Kosciusko County last month, and sent Rubio to their jail this week. He was not causing any problems in Marshall County, according to officials. No charges have been filed against him in Kosciusko County, according to the prosecutor’s office. He is merely housed in their jail in connection with the Marshall County allegations.
