Just in time for the Marshall County Blueberry Festival, four new blueberry sculptures are being unveiled in Plymouth this morning. They’re part of “A Bunch of Blueberries in Marshall County,” an outdoor art exhibit created to showcase local artists, while building partnerships between the artists and businesses in the community.
The first unveiling will be at 9:30 a.m. when Gibson Insurance will unveil its blueberry painted by Larry Holloway, titled “BLUEprint.”
At 10:00 a.m., “Golfing for Blueberries” will be unveiled at River Park Square. It was sponsored by Plymouth Rock Golf Course and painted by Jeff Stillson.
Then at 10:20 a.m., “Garden of Flowers,” painted by Carrolyne Babcock will be unveiled in the 200 block of N. Michigan Street.
Finally, the Plymouth Municipal Airport will unveil its blueberry at 10:50 a.m. It’s called “The Blueberry of Flight” and was painted by Steve Weaver.
These join the nine blueberry sculptures already on display in Plymouth. For more information, visit the Blueberries in Marshall County Facebook page.
