The Indiana State Police Bremen Post will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Friday.
The checkpoint will start during the evening hours on Friday and will be located in St. Joseph County. The Bremen post provides law enforcement in St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, and Koscuisko counties. The sobriety control efforts are part of the Operation Pull Over.
According to a press release, once the checkpoint has been conducted, Bremen Post Troopers will be conducting saturation patrols in the area to look for impaired drivers.
A few instructions have been provided to motorists entering the checkpoint, including having a driver’s license available. Delays are expected to last about two or three minutes.
The Indiana State Police say they conduct the enforcement efforts to help improve traffic safety in the state.
