The Culver Town Council will be introducing an ordinance to better manage false fire alarms.
Tonight’s meeting – which was moved from Tuesday to Monday this week – will see an ordinance considered and discussed about controlling the number of false fire alarms.
The Town Council has mentioned in the past the number of fire alarms that have been responded to in the past that have turned up nothing. Officials with the Fire Department have recommended charging a fee if a certain number of calls has been responded to without an incident to report.
Details of the ordinance will be reviewed during tonight’s meeting – which begins at 6:30 p.m. EDT at Culver Town Hall.
