The filing deadline has arrived for candidates seeking election in communities hosting a Town Convention.
August 3rd is included on the state calendar for candidates to either declare their candidacy or remove their name from the ballot for the Town Conventions. The conventions will ultimately decide who gets to represent their party in the November General Election.
In Marshall County, Democrat Kelli VanDerWeele will be running as a Democrat for the Argos Clerk-Treasurer seat. She is not being challenged in her own party, but joins Republicans Patricia Jones and Lisa Mullaney in running for the seat.
In Culver, Ginny Bess Munroe has filed to run again for the Town Council. She joins Jean Rakich and Joel Samuelson as the candidates who have already filed to run.
