A Plymouth man has been arrested after Police say he strangled an individual who eventually reported the incident.
Officers got the call around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, but were apparently unaware of what had occurred. The Plymouth Police Department said there was a language barrier that prevented an understanding of the call.
They responded to the 1500 block of North Michigan Street where it was learned that 30-year-old Carlos Roberto Rodriguez allegedly strangled another individual at the scene.
According to the police report, Rodriguez had allegedly fled the scene when they arrived. He was later brought in for questioning and arrested.
He is facing charges of Strangulation and Domestic Battery in the incident.
