An early morning traffic stop ended with a trip to jail for a pair of men. A Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Sampson P. Barnes, 34, on Oak Drive north of Hoham Drive around 12:30 this morning.
Barnes was driving with a suspended license, according to the police report. Further investigation reportedly turned up marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. The front seat passenger, Richard A.T. Barnes, was also found to be in possession of marijuana, according to police. Sampson Barnes faces charges of driving while suspended-prior, possession of marijuana and operating while intoxicated. Richard Barnes is charged with possession of marijuana.
