A Marshall County community is among the safest in Indiana, according to a new ranking. Bremen is ranked 15th on the 2015 Safest Cities list, released by Safewise.
The community reported no murders, rapes or robberies in 2013 and just 15 total violent crimes for the year. Those were all aggravated assaults. Bremen has only 3.26 violent and 12.83 property crimes per 1,000 residents.
The cities on the list all had populations of 4,000 or more residents in 2013 and reported complete crime data to the FBI. Information from the most recent FBI Crime Report statistics was analyzed to compare the number of reported violent and property crimes in each city.
