An Argos man was treated at Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening. It happened around 7:15 p.m. on 18th Road east of Keniloworth Road, according to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department news release.
Matt Stults, 53, was eastbound on 18th Road and said he swerved to miss a couple of deer that ran into the roadway. His 2005 Mustang hydroplaned, and he lost control of the car. It ran off the north side of the road into a cornfield, struck a large iron fencepost and rolled at least once.
Stults broke his leg and was unable to call for help for an unspecified reason. He got out of the vehicle and tried to crawl to the road to flag down help. He was found and taken to the hospital for treatment.
