An all-inclusive park set to open this week has postponed the ceremony.
Freedom Park recently completed Phase One of updates that will install playground equipment and other sites for disabled individuals. The Grand Opening Ceremony was set to take place on Wednesday, but due to heavy rains and flooding in Marshall County, the Grand Opening has been pushed back to a later date.
No plans have been made by the Freedom Park Committee – which has been in charge of plans and fundraising – to reschedule the ceremony.
