Today marks the deadline for individuals interested in serving on the Bremen School Board to submit their letters of interest to Bremen Public Schools. Superintendent Jim White said people have until 4:30 pm to get their letters into the corporation’s office.
The board will review the letters in an executive session and narrow it down to three of the most qualified candidates. During their next regularly scheduled public school board meeting they will announce who has been chosen to fill the empty board seat.
The open seat on the Bremen School Board arose when President Jack Jordan officially resigned from his position during their last meeting. Currently Vice President Jill Hassel is serving as interim president. Jordan served on the board since 2007 and Superintendent White reported that Jordan’s departure is due to his desire to seek another political office and wanting to focus exclusively on that.
