Ohio Man Arrested After Operation Pull Over Traffic Stop

An Ohio man whose driving privileges are suspended in North Carolina is jailed in Marshall County after a Saturday afternoon traffic stop on U.S. 30 at Hawthorn Road.

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy taking part in an Operation Pull Over blitz stopped a car driven by Carl Roberts, 28, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio for driving 77 in a 60 mile-per-hour zone. The officer thought Roberts was drunk, according to a sheriff’s department news release. He was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for a chemical test and arrested for operating while intoxicated. Roberts bond is $4,505. It’s triple the normal for that type of offense since he lives out of state.
