Near-record flooding is possible along the Tippecanoe River near Ora, according to the National Weather Service. They’ve extended the flood warning there until further notice.
Flood stage is 12 feet, and yesterday at 3 p.m. the river was at 14.6 and holding steady. Officials say major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. Additional rain is possible this weekend. Residents who live in flood-prone areas are urged to evacuate.
The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency has sandbags and sand available for residents at 9515 King Road in Plymouth. Bring your own shovel.
