Funeral services are scheduled tomorrow for the LaPaz man whose body was pulled from the Tippecanoe River near Leiters Ford late Friday night. Aaron Eckman was 20. Authorities say he fell in the river in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 17.
DNR Conservation Officers found his body Friday night about a mile from the location where he was last seen. Their search efforts were hampered by high waters and excessive rains. Foul play is not suspected in his death, according to authorities.
Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at the Pine Creek Church of the Brehren in North Liberty, with visitation there from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A graveside service will follow at Fair Cemetery in North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be given to his mother, Rhonda Walter, in care of Palmer Funeral Home in Lakeville.
