For more than three decades the President’s Education Awards Program (PEAP) has been recognizing the accomplishments of students nationwide. Argos Elementary School is now among one one of those nationally recognized institutions.
According to the U.S Department of Education, the award is granted to schools that demonstrate unusual commitment to learning in academics despite various obstacles, achieve high scores or show outstanding growth, improvement, commitment or intellectual development in particular subjects, such as English, math, science and those that demonstrate achievements in the arts. The criteria behind who is chosen also depends on school criteria and standards, grade point average and overall performance on state tests.
This year Argos Elementary School was among the 500 Indiana schools who were recognized for their educational excellence and academic achievements. By receiving this award all the hard work and dedication from students and staff at Argos Elementary School is being recognized. Congratulations to Argos Elementary for having an award worthy year.
