Volunteers Needed for Mayor’s Youth Council Earth/Arbor Day Celebration

The Mayor’s Youth Council plans to show Mother Earth some love tomorrow. Volunteers ages 11 and older are needed for their third annual Earth Day celebration. It gets under way at 9 a.m. at River Park Square on Garro Street and continues until 1 p.m. Participants are asked to wear long pants and shoes with closed toes. Work gloves are required, and safety vests will be provided.

Volunteers will also be planting trees throughout the downtown area, and Mayor Mark Senter will share a proclamation honoring Plymouth’s recent recognition as a Tree City USA.
