Plymouth Students in the Dog House

Students at Riverside Intermediate School have completed a project that they hope can raise a bit of money.

According to information provided by the Plymouth School Corporation, the students constructed a dog house with the help of several teachers from various subjects. The dog house along with lick mats for dogs, which is considered quite elaborate, is on display in the entry at Riverside.

Constructing the dog house is part of a team building program and mentoring club for 5th graders. Students worked on the project after school hours.

Although the building is on display, the dog house is being auctioned to the highest bidder. Any funds raised will benefit the Marshall County Humane Society. Bids started at $5, but recent figures indicate that the students have been able to raise as much as $300 for the cause.

The bidding will end on Friday.
